Ashley Allen

Ashley Allen serves on staff with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina as senior consultant of Embrace Women’s Evangelism and Discipleship. Ashley is a proud native of Dallas, Texas. She prayed to receive Christ as an 11-year-old seventh grader, and the Lord called her to full-time Christian service as an 18-year-old sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. In college, the Lord began to use mentoring and discipleship experiences to shape and refine her calling to women’s ministry.

Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She also has a master’s degree in Christian education and a doctorate of philosophy in administration, with minors in childhood education and foundations of education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the 2007 recipient of Southwestern Seminary’s Albert G. and Ethel Marsh Memorial Award for the outstanding doctorate of philosophy student in the seminary’s School of Educational Ministries.

Since the Lord’s calling on her life to ministry, she has served on two church staffs in Texas in the areas of communications and women’s ministry. She has been an adjunct professor in the areas of church administration and women’s ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an adjunct professor at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She currently teaches as an adjunct professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ashley deeply desires for women to seek the Lord and apply the truth of His Word to their daily life. She has a passion for women who are mature in their walk with the Lord to reach out and disciple the next generation of believers in the things of God. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, history, training for and running half and full marathons, craft projects, cooking, antiquing and Texas Longhorn athletics.
