Kate McCord is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ deeply committed to intimacy with Christ and ministry that flows from that intimacy. Kate worked in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2013 as a Christian humanitarian aid worker. She learned the local language and developed deep and lasting friendships with local Afghans.

Prior to moving to Afghanistan, Ms. McCord worked in the international corporate community as a business process and strategy consultant.  Kate is the author of “Why God Calls us to Dangerous Places”, “In the Land of Blue Burqas”, and “Farewell Four Waters”, all published by Moody Publishers. Currently, Kate McCord serves the Lord as a writer, spiritual director, speaker & workshop facilitator. As a former Muslim, Rockie put her trust in Christ on August 2, 1998. Since then, she has earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Criswell College and a Masters of Theology (ThM) in Evangelism and Discipleship from Dallas Theological Seminary. Her testimony has been featured in Today’s Christian Woman magazine and has contributed a chapter to a book titled: Voices Behind the Veil.  She speaks at congregations, conferences, and seminars around the country.  She has also spoken on radio stations across the nation.  She is on staff at First Baptist Broken Arrow as the Director of Women’s Ministry.



Ruth was born in the United States and raised in South America by parents in the oil industry. After getting a degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Ruth married and worked along side her husband doing holistic ministry for over thirty years in Southeast Asia. They have four grown children and her family has experienced first hand the mighty acts of God in the midst of living in dangerous and difficult places! Rush has mentored women of all ages and led International seminars on working through life problems.

Stacy is a member of the BGCO Women’s State Leadership Team. She is involved in Friendship International, an organization who assists in meeting intellectual, physical and spiritual needs of internationals. Friendship International is committed to communicating the gospel and building up the body of Christ.
